I was a damsel in distress,
Under a pressure press.
It was all flowers and hearts,
Until it was all torn apart.
I wasn’t sure if I was in the right place,
But it looked like I had to buy a
New shoe lace,
So that I could run, run and run far away.
I dreamt of living by the water,
But that only lasted till winter.
When the water became ice,
I had to roll the dream out,
Like a dice.
Then he came by, to buy me a
Glass of neat scotch.
By then… I realised, it was time,
To view the watch.
He tried his best, to break my walls…
But it only broke his Brawl.
I told him to stop trying,
But I knew I was lying.
He came through it, bringing me a ray of light.
A life of love, a wonder bright.
The escape didn’t last long,
Because he was soon gone.
Making me a damsel in distress.
Once again, I was wrong,
And it went on and on.
A/N: Yeah… if I forgot to mention, let me inform. I am a writer (originally). I mostly post stories, but I kinda started my writing with poetry, so… here’s one.
